Audit Partner

Mr. TAN BOON HEE is managing partner of BH Tan & Co, local registered audit firm in Malaysia as Licensed Auditor granted by the Ministry of Finance. He is a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), as well as a fellow member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM). 

Mr. Tan is currently holding position in the company as an external auditor, corporate tax consultant and financial adviser. His experiences span over more than 15 years of majors in Chartered Accounting firm. Having been in practice since 2004, he has diverse experience in auditing, taxation and business advisory matters. His clients include a wide range of companies engaged in a variety of industries including hotel, manufacturing, trading, services, property development, construction and logistic companies.

His broad business experience covers external audit, corporate reporting, corporate and international tax planning, transfer pricing, tax review, tax audit and tax compliance cases. He also advises his clients in application of tax incentive, custom facilities, banking facilities and various business licenses and successfully developed effective tax planning strategies and remuneration packages for his corporate clients.

Mr. Tan has been involved in advising clients on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) preparation prior to actual implementation by the authorities and post GST impact. He is an experienced seminar presenter in Goods and Services Tax. He has been giving talks on taxation matters included Company directors’ obligations, Personal income tax planning, Corporate income tax planning, Introduction and implementation of Malaysia Good and Services Tax.

As a managing partner, Mr. Tan firmly believes in being adaptable and moving with the times. His management philosophy is to always keep learning, and he strongly advocates a culture of learning and constant personal development within the company’s working environment. Mr. Tan works closely with key clients to build trust and confidence in the markets. He is a passionate advocate of governance and actively empowers and develops exceptional teams and outstanding leaders.​

Mr. EDMUND TEH SIN CHAY

Tax Partner

Mr. Edmund is a Tax Partner of BH Tan & Co and he is qualified as a Licensed Tax Agent and Auditor by the Ministry of Finance. In his professional capacity, he is a Member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

He started his career as an Audit Assistant with a small public accounting firm in 1989. Subsequently, he moved on to join Shamsir Jasani Grant Thornton in 1992, a top ten public accounting firm in Malaysia and worked for a period of 4 years before he left the firm in 1996 as an Audit Supervisor. Prior to the association with WT Ng & Co., he was the Senior Accounts Manager of Memory Lane Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of American Greetings Inc., a market leader in greeting cards and gifts. He has been with the company for 4 years.

In his past career, he has involved in various type of assignments involving corporate tax matters, indirect taxes, such as sales and services tax, budgeting and financial planning, system design and special auditing on internal control. He has hands on experience on Enterprise Resource Planning and implementation of the said system. His portfolio, combined with a background in tax compliance provides a sound foundation for the skills, experience and perspective required to focus on strategic issues amidst the complexities of a business to better serve his clients’ needs.

Ms. CHAI SEK YING

Secretary

Ms. Chai Sek Ying, is the Associate Partner of BH Tan & Co as well as the Managing Partner of NYSS Management Services Sdn. Bhd. since Year 2007. She holds a degree of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrator and become a Fellow Member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA). 

With a formidable resume that boasts over 20 years of experience in corporate secretarial work, Ms. Chai has gone on to advise and guide hundreds of businesses, helping them to achieve growth and success. She regularly advises and services on an extensive scope of corporate matters including incorporation of company, members’ voluntary winding up, share registration and other consulting services.
 
Besides company registration services, she also offers advisory services on compliance requirements and corporate governance, maintaining statutory records, filing of returns to the relevant authorities, providing virtual office services and registered office and etc.

Ms. Lim Chu Yin has been with BH Tan & Co since Year 2014 and serve as the Head of Quality Assurance in the firm. Ms. Lim is responsible for overseeing the continuous focus on audit quality across the firm. 

Ms. Lim has more than 15 years of technical and professional experience and she brings extensive knowledge of the professional services and a wealth expertise in business change and transformation to improve audit practices and quality. She mainly focuses on quality assurance, internal control, risk containment, ethics and independence for the network, including the provision of audit and assurance services. 

Ms. Lim leads on executing developments innovation, applying technology to accelerate the business strategy and integrating a transformation imperative into all areas.

AUDIT AND TAX MANAGER

Ms. Tan Bee Ling present as the Audit and Tax Manager in the firm. Bee Ling brings over 10 years’ experience in audit assurance and tax profession field. She handles both tax compliance and business advisory work on both corporate and individual clients. She has been dealing with a wide range of clients from various industries, such as manufacturing, trading, consultancy services, construction and etc.

Recognising the changes in local tax laws, Bee Ling has undertaken the responsibility to assist and advise clients on the role of rulings, tax planning and others in order to make the good business decisions as well as including the preparation and submission of applications to the relevant authorities.

Mr. CHOR HAN LIN

Mr. Chor Han Lin has been with BH Tan & Co since Year 2013 and being a manager specializing in the Audit and Assurance practice. He handles his tasks diligently to ensure all the clients always receive personalized attention and unsurpassed quality service. Over 10 years of experience, he had explore in various industries such as property development, trading, manufacturing, hotel, professional service organization and etc.
